CHILDRENS STORY BOOK
Learn How Art Changed Matthew’s Life
Being accepted by NOA changed this young artist’s life. Matthew Wynne is 12 and suffers with autism. His confidence at school last summer was at an all time low, and at times he was unable to face school at all. His teacher recognised that Matthew was able to express himself through art and encouraged him to enter the children’s section of NOA. He entered a portrait of his Grandad.
Though the selectors had no idea of his background and learning difficulty, his work was selected and shown at the exhibition. As a result his communication improved, he began attending school daily and his self esteem rocketed. We’re so proud of him!
