DONNA LEIGHTON SETTLES INTO HER ONE MONTH RESIDENCY

NOA are extremely grateful to Dr. Noelle Campbelle Sharp, Founder of the Cill Rialaig Project and Director of the Origin Gallery, Dublin, who has for the third year, offered this wonderful opportunity for artists and will again be offering the one month residency through the 2018 competition.

Dr. Campbelle Sharp says, "As Founder of the Cill Rialaig Project, I am delighted to be associated and my Board are grateful that your illustrious competition has now been opened to artists in the Republic of Ireland.

We welcome your winner of the 2016 NOA residency at our artist retreat which has now hosted more than 3500 artists from all over the world. As a measure of the impact such a residency can have on an artist's practice we also attach a letter from the world famous Kiki Smith."

"The residency at Cill Rialaig is a most enriching time. I hope that I will have the opportunity to return. It is a special place that brings the rare desire to leave home..."

We will be posting updates about Donna's stay here - Add to the conversation on InstagramFacebook and Twitter.
